It resembles a piece of Swiss cheese but buyers of Richmond's Hue development haven't let that turn them off.
The controversial Lord Street project, designed by architect Jackson Clements Burrows and developed by SCLand is complete, with residents moving in last month.Behind the imposing facade, which has become a talking point around Bridge Road, are 28units and townhouses built around big gardens.Kay and Burton director and selling agent Peter Kudelka says 10 units are still for sale but that, unlike swiss cheese, these properties aren't cheap. The last units are $980,000 to $1.2 million and each has three bedrooms and a study. The Richmond block appears likely to keep the title of the inner-city's most unique building, probably until next year when Fitzroy's controversial "cheese grater" development in Napier Street is complete.
